Edmonton

First day at the Medical Equipment Management Unit at North Middlesex University Hospital. Met the guys. Agreed 22½ hours with Sidki. Working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Given keys to a locker, front gate and department front door. Started off by sorting out the awaiting repair shelf. Sidki wants me to clear the backlog of Arcomed µVP-5005 volumetric pumps. Pity I did not get around to genning up on these at Taunton. But now's my chance! Took my lunch at the Sterling Restaurant (the hospital canteen). Bought the book "History of North Middlesex Hospital" by Gary Boudier from the Hospital Bookstall shop for £ 10. Went with Colin up to Ward 8 in the Tower to look at a MAC-5000 ECG. Good to met Lou Woodninck from Phoenix Surgical Instruments again after all this time. Last seen at Chase Farm 11½ years ago and still just the same! Later took a Roberts pump with Naeem to Hope Ward. Left at 17:30. Got some stocks on Silver Street. Out for a run at 18:00. Twice around Pymmes Park. This looks like being my new route.
