Noticed that it's six months since I first turned up at Rotherham to visit Grahame Driver at the Hospital. Went out at mid-day and walked along the tow-path into town. Was lucky not to be blown into the canal. I've never seen such waves on a canal before. Very exciting! Did texts to Colin, Jimmy and Mum. Did an hour at the internet café. The ebme website was down. Did a bit on eBay. Had some grub in my usual place and then made my way back through the blustery wind. Garden fences blown across the road. Back at No.91 by 15:00. Reckon I made the right decision in hunkering down for a while. Carried on getting VTM SWM manuals stuff sorted out. Time-consuming but worth doing right.
