The Meaning of Success

"If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy - that is your success." - Henry David Thoreau

"A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do." - Bob Dylan.

A bit of PM in the South-West of England

I must say that it’s a nice change to be working in a UK NHS biomed department that has gone to some lengths to do things properly!

They are committed to carrying out properly conducted PM, with well put together inspection sheets.

They also have an impressive range of test equipment.

Another remarkable feature of the department is that, in an effort to effect quality assurance, all job reports are counter-signed by a second technician. Keeps me on my toes, then!

As always, there is room for improvement, but personally speaking, I would have to say that this is the best NHS biomed department I have actually worked in.

Pity really that it’s only for a short term locum assignment!

Torquay

Out for a run at 07:00. Over the back to Babbacombe. Plenty of hills and steps! Back at 08:30. Did a bit of sorting out of my black toolbag. Met Phil who is also resident at No.61. Did not have much to say for himself. Later on headed down once more into Union Street to get some dhobi done. Had a nice breakfast. Walked back to the B&B. Did a bit of reading. Texts from Tony Dowman. Wandered up to the hospital at 16:25. Had some grub. Back at the B&B by 17:40.
